A.R.T. is an intensive ten-week life-skills program in which youth attend one-hour group sessions three times per week. In these sessions, participants gain tools that allow them to solve problems, make decisions, and interact positively in social situations.
The A.R.T. curriculum consists of three components: Skillstreaming (the behavior component), Anger Control Training (the emotional component), and Moral Reasoning (the values component).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Participants will know the theoretical and empirical underpinnings for:
• Skillstreaming component and how to facilitate Skillstreaming groups;
• Anger Control component and how to facilitate Anger Control groups;
• Moral Reasoning component and how to facilitate Moral Reasoning groups. |
