"If students aren't thinking, everything is difficult. If students are thinking almost anything is possible," states Peter Liljedahl, author of Building Thinking Classrooms. In this 2-day workshop, we will dive into and model the teaching practices for enhancing student learning as outlined in the book 'Building Thinking Classrooms.' Specifically, we will focus on implementing tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving, creating student centered classrooms, encouraging productive struggle, and building positive math identities. |
