CTE Awareness Workshop PD Follow Up Support

This is a 4-hour professional development event. Educators that have completed the 1-day CTE Awareness Workshop PD are invited to attend.

This event will provide deeper training and practice with elements of the KCSOS Career Exploration (CE) Curriculum based on the attendees’ requests on a pre-survey. Therefore, each event may contain different content, and educators may want to register for multiple follow-up support sessions for a variety of PD opportunities.

Depending on attendee requests, support may focus on:

1. Technical support on the Canvas course and/or Genially slide deck platforms.

2. Content and/or implementation support for the 5-hour CTE Awareness Workshop (base course and/or optional activities).

3. Content and/or implementation support for the Activity Book lessons.

4. Pacing and/or lesson planning for an extended CE curriculum.

5. Technical, content, and/or implementation support for the KCSOS CE supplemental resources folders (Google Drive).

6. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies for CE.

7. Building career skills (soft skills).

8. Working with specific student sub-groups and/or grade spans.

9. Overview of the structure of the California CTE system and curricular framework.
