Procedural fluency is essential for students to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and solve problems efficiently. This workshop will focus on “Seven Significant Strategies” to teach to students as they work toward procedural fluency. Participants will learn activities, fluency, routines, and games that encourage student learning to be efficient, flexible, and accurate, the essentials to real fluency. Reflection questions, connections to mathematical standards, and techniques for assessing all components of fluency will also be discussed. |
